Nightlife in Grenada

Grenada has a fairly quiet nightlife, especially when compared to other islands. However, this does not mean that there is none. There are a few hot spots where visitors and locals alike, go to have fun and where you can party till the early morning hours. They feature all the popular music, but with a choice selection of Calypso and Reggae which give them that distinctive Caribbean flair.


Bars and Nightclubs

Fantazia Nightclub

Fantazia offers dancing to the latest local, regional and international hits. Soca, Reggae, and Cadance are popular, too. The most popular nights are Friday & Saturday, and of course, during carnival time it is exceptional (and crowded). They open from 9.30 PM 'til the small hours of the morning. It's air-conditioned, with state-of-the-art equipment, good acoustics, and fantastic disco lights. There are also live shows Friday and Saturday.

The Dodgy Dock

Dance the night away to the sounds of local bands or the spinning tunes of our DJ. Wednesdays nights sizzle to the beat of local tunes and street food. Fridays chill to the sounds of live Jazz at sunset and stay for dinner and enjoy our Margaritas Mexican Night. Happy hour from 5 to 6 pm. Open daily until midnight.

Club Bananas

Bananas Restaurant, Sports-Bar and Night Club offers something for everyone. Open daily this oasis is Grenada's premier location for food and night life. Days transform into unforgettable nights with the opening of the Restaurant and Bar at 4pm every day of the week. You can enjoy a quick meal (the islands only wood fired pizza or a Black Angus burgers, Cajun Fires and Wicked Buffalo wings) and a cold beer in the one of a kind Carib Cave (a truly unique bar built into the hillside) or enjoy a more formal sit down meal comprised of the very best in imported meats, local sea food and assorted international meals.

With a daily happy hour from 5pm to 7pm, patrons are treated every Saturday to the best in local and regional live entertainment (starting at 8pm). Every Friday and Saturday Bananas state of the art club opens at 10:30pm for fervent dancing by locals, tourist and American students from the nearby medical school and continues well into the morning hours. International in flavor, Bananas also features Latin dance classes and dancing every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 6:30pm. Sundays and Mondays are Sports Day with major worldwide events shown on various TV's and 42 inch large plasma screen or 8 foot drop down projector. The facility also sports wireless internet free of charge.

Venus Sports Lounge

Venus Restaurant and Sports Lounge caters to a wide cross section of entertainment needs among locals, tourists and students with full restaurant, pool tables, big screen TVs, slot machines and rooms for private dining and events hosting.

Clarke's Court Cave

A very unique bar built inside the catacombs of old Fort Matthew overlooking St. Georges is a sight not to be missed when visiting the Spice Isle of Grenada. Every Thursday night Live Music!

Cloud 9 Bar & Grill

A fun bar serving a good range of cocktails, liquors, beers and local drinks. They have a nice international menu with specials on different evenings. Nice staff and a good atmosphere. Have a dip in the pool to cool off!

The Junction Bar & Lounge

Bar & Grill open Wed - Sat 5pm for dinner, dancing live music and liming until 1am. From October, Cafe & Lounge Open Monday - Saturday 7am - 3pm for Breakfast and Lunch. Espresso, Cappuccino, Wine, Beer, Crepes, Sanwiches, Salads, Pastries, and Desserts.

West Indies Brewery

Specialty real ales and beers brewed in the Caribbean. Providing beers for a variety of bars in Grenada as well as our own brew pub (The Brewery). Pool table, bar games and music - a favourite with students, locals and visitors!

Rocky is normally open on Sunday. A great event is Rocky’s Sunset Ritual, which happens once a month on a Sunday from 2 pm – 10 pm, with the combination of a great bar, magnificent DJ's and fabulous chefs.

The Lightship

The Lightship is a unique setting for people to enjoy great rum cocktails and beers from around the West Indies as you watch the sunset during happy hour or listen to a variety of nightly entertainment. Open Tuesday – Saturday from 5:00pm-12:00am.

Crab Racing at Kalinago

Monday night crab racing has moved to the Watering Hole Bar at Kalinago Resort on Morne Rouge beach (aka BBC beach). A hilarious night of racing, socialising and fun! Starts at 9pm.

Prickly Bay Marina

Tiki Bar Prickly Bay Marina

The Tiki Bar, located at Prickly Bay Marina in L'Ance Aux Epines, has special events each night of the week. Live music, curry or pizza nights, bingo and trivia nights are just some of the fun entertainment options.

The Rhum Runner

Party Grenada

These fun boats offer daytime and evening music cruises departing from the Carenage.
